Worship:
Usually NZ Prayer Book once a month (all 1hr). Inclusive music, with sprinkling of NZ hymns. Winter evening services include choral evensong, Taize-style, contemplative service, Celtic-style, and healing service.
Sunday - 8am: Eucharist
10am: Junior Church and Family Communion
Wednesday - traditional 1662 service three times a month,


Ethos: Wide range of views but clear willingness to listen; clearly Anglican but parish occasionally hosts community and service groups (eg SPCA at Pets’ Service; sea scouts on Sea Sunday).


Ethnicity: Mainly Pakeha with Maori families; occasional sharing with Roman Catholics and other Tikanga; church used for large tangi; tourists from other cultures often join worship; some Te Reo used on Sunday.


Children & Youth: Junior church on Sundays; Mainly Music pre-school programme on Fridays; Christmas pageant and “Christmas Discovered” programme; brownies and guides use parish hall; after-school programme. Contact youth@taupoanglican.org.nz


Social: Morning tea after 10am service; parish dinners; AAW and AMSOC men’s group; church complex used for community concerts.


Training: Three Bible study groups; Lenten and Advent studies; worship leaders and resthome communion team have regular training.


Outreach: Op shop; Ezee meals; Growing Through Grief; pre-school music; Christmas pageant.


Highlights: Annual garden walk; golf tournament; parish dinners; annual market day
