Waikohu Co-operating Parish
Waikohu stretches deep into the hills of western Eastland, embracing a number of small scattered communities. The theology of the Waikohu Co-operating Parish is warmly Evangeilical with a strong emphasis on the saving power of Christ. Lay ministry is encouraged at every level.

Matawai meets the first Sunday of every month with an Eucharist Service. Easter and Christmas Services are also held.

Te Karaka meets every week. Eucharist on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Ethos: Friendly, Evangelical-charismatic; common purpose but diversity encouraged; serves as community church.
Ethnicity: Pakeha/Maori; Te Reo used in places, with some Maori worship songs.
Children: Sunday school at two church centres - Matawai and Te Karaka.
Social: Morning tea after worship
Outreach: Foodbank; Outreach to the Community. St Pauls Church Motu is being restored and holds three to four services per year.
Highlights: Christmas, Easter, Pentecost.
