Mount Maunganui
Mount Maunganui is a medium-sized parish with two worship centres. St Peter’s is the older church near the base of the Mount. St Mary's is adjacent to Bayfair shopping centre. The parish has a strong ethos of community involvement and support.

Worship: All services have strong lay involvement and regularly include visitors.

Traditonal NZ Prayer Book service with hymns
Sunday - 8am followed by tea and toast in the lounge
Wednesday - 10am followed by morning tea in the lounge
St Peter's also hosts occasional Choral Evensong services and special choral services during Advent

Sunday - 10am Family Communion with mix of hymns and contemporary music. Activities for children in the service or in Sunday School.

Ethos: Friendly, active parish, with a strong sense of living in Christ’s way.
Ethnicity: Mainly European, embracing all cultures.
Children: Two Childcare Centres: Growing Through Grief run the Seasons programme every school term; midweek pre-school music group; mid-week Seeds Service - combination music and bible study for preschoolers and parents; children's Festival dinners prior to major church festivals; holiday programmes.
Social: Parish complex well used by community groups; parish breakfasts once a quarter; indoor bowls; care and craft; seniors exercise classes
Outreach: Drop In Centre; monthly community Market onsite; monthly family movie nights; 4 Rest homes with monthly services; 1 Retirement village with monthly communion. The parish is also building a musical outreach through classical organ, choral and instrumental music at St Peter's.
Highlights: Parish Fair in October; Saints & Angels street party (alternative to Halloween); Pet Sunday in October
