This parish church can be found on the historic battle site of Gate Pa, a story that is focussing increasingly on a mission of reconciliation. A welcoming parish of a more liberal persuasion, it encompasses those who are marginalised.

Worship:
Balance of NZ Prayer Book and other worship resources (75min); fortnightly contemplative services; music blend of traditional and modern; shared leadership between clergy and lay.
Sunday - 8am Communion (no hymns) & 9.30 am (Communion & Sunday School). 1st & 3rd Sundays, reflective service at 7pm.
Tuesday - During the interregnum - Tuesday Service 9.15am.
Ethos: Essentially Anglican; open and welcoming; common purpose but room for diversity (Muslim group uses church hall).
Ethnicity: Mainly NZ European but three other ethnic groups present; Te Reo encouraged.
Children: Range of programmes.
Social: Morning tea after all services; regular lunches; men’s breakfasts; pancake dinner; Maundy Thurs dinner; ‘Band in the Park’ concert; AAW events and meetings; annual picnic
