Takapau is small country village about 1km off State Highway 2. It is becoming increasingly popular as a lifestyle location because of its sunny climate, good soil, flat land and excellent golf course and by being approximately midway between Napier and Palmerston North.

Ethos: Anglican/Presbyterian with strong sense of common purpose; proudly ecumenical; currently working through calling process as Emerging Ministry Unit.
Ethnicity: Mainly NZ European with a few Maori; Te Reo seldom used in worship.
Children: Story time and quiet activity for children during services; church has designated children’s area at back.
Social: Morning tea after Sun services.
Training: Ministry team attends diocesan programmes where possible; local training from regional convenor.
Outreach: Pre-school music popular.
